why join a breakup process group?

You’re experiencing the end of a significant relationship. Maybe you’re in the midst of a painful grief process - there’s sadness, anger, confusion, fear, uncertainty about who you are on your own and how to exist in the world now. Maybe others in your life have moved on and are expecting you to do the same, but you’re in need of support and space to be with others who understand what you’re going through.

Group therapy provides a space to witness and be witnessed in shared experience, to be in community when everything feels like it’s falling apart. Group provides an opportunity to receive real-time reflection and support from members and facilitator(s).

“I felt a real shift in my grief. I felt connection and community and a sense of responsibility to my fellow group mates. Initially I felt worried that I wouldn’t be well received and the exact opposite was true. I’m so glad that I chose to do it.”- past group participant

more details:

“I appreciated getting perspective from new people. My friends and family are pretty biased, and also busy. It was helpful to say things out loud that I had been holding onto, and feel validated and appreciated without judgment. The group also gave me hope. It was helpful to hear other people already talking about “next time”. I haven’t allowed myself to dream that big.”- past group participant
